Plethora of Parties

Payton turned 6 a couple of weeks ago and she is so proud to say it!  The morning of her birthday she said to me, "Guess what, I'm 6!"  I then asked her what she wanted to do after school and she said, "FAT CATS!!!"  So she went to school where her whole class wished her a 'happy birthday' and sang a special song at lunch.  I then picked her up, she did her homework and we waited for Shawn to get home so that we could get the party started.  We decided that it would be a good idea to open some gifts (which were from grandparents) before we left.  She read all the cards and we headed out the door.  We ate pizza first, sang happy birthday and she opened our presents.  After dinner she saw this pirate head and was like, "miniature golfing, let's do that instead!"  After our golf, we headed home and told her she had one more surprise...a new bike!  Because her other one was big enough for Lucas to ride ;)

Hoping for a taste of the delicious FairyFeti cake bites...mmm
I think she is afraid of the lighter?

Lego Friends!

Party number 2 consisted of me, Payton's mom and 10 girlfriends, butterfly masks, a mermaid pinata, and cupcake decorating contest and trick candles!  Everyone had a blast!

This was my favorite...every present Payton opened there were little girls surrounding her.

Happy Birthday!!!

And of course there were family parties.  This 6 year old is one lucky girl!  Hope you have a great year!

Happy New Year!!!

It's a new year (obviously).  I would just like to say that we will all be getting older, a little wiser and hopefully have the best year ever because supposedly 2012 will end the world....Any questions?

Whitney, my cute little sis-in-law, made the comment that I should get a ukulele so that Shawn and I could be as awesome as Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt :)

HAPPY 2012!!!

Holiday....Celebrate

Every Christmas we do a little theme for Payton's present from Santa.  Last year it was Rapunzel, the year before it was Snow White, and this year it was the Lalaloopsy gang,  which I must say are the cutest little dolls ever!  We were setting everything up Christmas Eve and I said to Shawn, 'can I be a little girl?'  They have such teeny tiny toys for girls now a days, and they are just so cute!  Anyway, here was the final product (before it was ripped into).

Kind of hard to see them all, but this is Lala villiage.

This year I received the Shark Mop a Kitchen Aid Mixer (in red (of course)), and a Baby Bullet.  I cannot express what joy I have had in using them this week.  I love everything!  Lucas got some Dr. Seuss books and baby toys, and Shawn got some really cool Onitsuka Asics.  We had a great (busy) Christmas!

Cutest kids around!

Trial and error...he is getting better (and bigger) every day!
