The New Normal (for us)

Fall is in the air, (and the wardrobe), soup is on the stove, bread is in the oven and an apple cinnamon candle is lit.  This is my most favorite time of the year!

School has started, which leads us to, our new normal.  This semester is Shawn's last.  For the next 5 weeks he has 3 nights of class, 6-10.  Payton is going to Sunset Elementary, which is, well, in Sunset.  If you don't know where it is, it's by Clinton, which is near Ogden.  Which means we don't see her during the week anymore.  So with just Lucas and I, it is rather quiet around the house.
When Payton grows up she wants to be an artist/
Geologist (palentologist)
And she wants to have the most Lalaloopsy's of any girl around!  This lala's name is Blossom Flowerpot.  Payton put her here and said, "Look, it's perfect!"

I always feel the need to spend our alone time with music.  Lucas LOVES music!  He is always dancing to some upbeat song, while swaying to those a little more melancholy.  He plays his little piano and guitar.  He tries to put records on the record player.  He even sings!  His lyrics always come out, Dog (because everything is a dog).

Even though it has been a little more quiet, I have been able to fill my time with doing hair, playing with makeup, girl talk,  finding (healthy) delicious recipes, and of course, fall shopping!

Aside from that lovely quiet time, I have been sick as well.  Sinus Infection, not morning sickness.  That is the first thing people ask when I tell them I don't feel well, and I say, sorry to disappoint you!  Anyway, having a sinus infection is nothing new for me.  I used to get them every other week until the surgery.  Now I get them every other month...which is even more fabulous (do you sense sarcasm?)  Anyway, for those who have actually had a sinus infection know what it's like to have such deformities (mentally).  For example; today I was driving, like any normal day, about to cross over the trax tracks and thought I needed to stop.  Why?  The bars weren't down, the lights weren't flashing, I just felt the sudden urge to stop.  And then, I sat there for a while (with no cars behind me surprisingly), and then I saw the cars pass by on the other side and thought, wait a minute...and then I just laughed, because honestly, who does that?

Here are a few of the last photos of our summer adventures!!!
