Living Heritage Festival

Every weekend in the summer, there is always something going on Downtown SLC.  From Gay Pride, to the Farmer's Market, there is fun for everyone!  This past weekend, we bought a new stroller, (since I ran over the other one) jumped on Trax, and went to the Living Heritage Festival.  There were booths all around with crafts from different countries, music and dancing, some crazy Brazilian martial arts jig, a kids area, food from all over, it was pretty cool seeing the world all in one afternoon.  And, I got to stand next to Jodi Saeland, meteorologist on channel 5!  I'm pretty sure I am the only one who was excited about that, because Shawn just gave me his typical, "I don't care" thumbs up.  We had a fabulous time and it is just the beginning...:)

Payton got to make this cool paper flower, origami, a Japanese kite, and a lei.....be jealous.

I love my cute family!!!

Transistion

It is almost time for summer, which means being super mom for the next 3 months of my life...  Payton is doing fabulous!  She has less than a month left at Challenger, which she talks about wanting to go to summer school?  What!?  Her summer will be filled with vacations, pools, hiking, riding bikes, going to the park, and even a creepy critter day camp!  Oh the sweet joys of being 6 :)

Another brain-power day...go Payton!

Lucas is all over the place!!!  He sure knows how to keep me busy.  He is crawling up the stairs, walking along the furniture, doing a 2 second balancing act on his feet, "accidentally" dropping his sippy cup and saying, 'uh-oh'!  He now knows when he is being naughty, and loves to test us.  My favorite is the, 'I'm going to put this piece of chalk in my mouth mom, what do you think about that?' face!

DUNNY!!!

I love the mundane look of these cute little boys!

I just love being a mommy!  Watching your kids grow and learn and have fun is so rewarding.  Sure, there are those  'rip-out-your-hair' moments, but for the most part, my kids are so totally awesome!!!

A Lovely Day for an Outing

The other day we thought it would be fun to venture off to City Creek.  I wanted to see the other half, since when I was there before I only made it to the North side of the Creek (or as Shawn would say it "crick").  We had lunch at Kneaders, which is always delicious, wandered through the crowds and made our way to Tiffany's where my 10 year anniversary ring awaits (just a p.s.), watched Lucas obsess over the elevator lights and buttons, did some people watching and waited for 20 minutes for a measly piece of cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory!  We had an excellent time!  I told Shawn when he becomes a millionaire, I would like to live in one of the penthouses and shop every single day....ah...the life!

Ummmm......

Is it just me, or does Cooper look like he has been eating grass?
